Don't Fear the Buttons Thu, Feb 5, 2026 10:00am - 1:00pm

Description In this class, for BERNINA Series 3, 4, 5 or 7 users, Ellen will offer techniques to get the most from the sewing side of your Bernina using her favorite Bernina functions and feet. Topics will include tips and do’s and don'ts for threading and maintenance, preventing thread nests and other frustrations (tension headaches anyone?), stitch editing and combining stitches, different ways to sew securing stitches, using the Creative Consultant, when to use dual feed vs. walking foot, using a BSR instead of regular quilting foot, and using a twin needle. But most of all, the class will be in a qustion answer format to give you the confidence to "push your buttons"! Dress A Girl Around the World Sew-In Monthly - Normally, the Third Wednesday of the Month 1:30 - 4:00pm Check with the Wilmington store.

Description Join us for our monthly sew in to make simple sundresses for the Dress the Girl organization. This faith based, international mission provides basic dresses for young girls around the world. Come join us to learn more about their amazing empowering outreach and how we can share our time and talent globally. Fabric and patterns will be provided. If you aren't confident in your garment construction, there will always be non-sewing tasks for anyone looking for a fellowship afternoon! This is a free monthly workshop.  You can take a free pattern to sew at home and bring the following month. Maximum for sewing is 6 and it's on a first come basis.
